Far West Consulting has been operating from Taipei since 2010. Sixteen years in Asia-Pacific, bilingual from the start. Far West is built around a single observation: most enterprise AI rollouts fail not because the technology is wrong, but because the change effort is missing. That observation shapes how engagements are sequenced and how outcomes are measured.
The methodology (Workflow Map → Integration → Adoption) runs through every engagement. Map the workflow before selecting the tool. Build the integration with the governance it needs to survive contact with finance, IT, and risk. Lead the change so the deployment becomes adoption, not shelfware. Three stages, same sequence, every time. Expanding to Toronto in Q3 2026 alongside the established APAC operation.

Canadian, based in Taipei since 2003. 15+ years on the practitioner side of change management, learning and development, and communications — most of it inside organizations running complex rollouts that had to land in two languages and three regulatory regimes.
Far West operates as a small partner network of senior AI engineers and integrators — the workflow analyst, the technical integrator, the change leader — brought to engagements as the work requires.
We help leaders communicate clearly under pressure, build documentation that holds up in real use, and bring teams onto new tools and workflows without losing quality, judgment, or trust. Typical outcomes: fewer revision cycles, faster first drafts, clearer leadership communication, and more confidence for teams working across functions, levels, and high-stakes situations.
We help leaders communicate clearly under pressure.
Training is sequenced across four cognitive levels: AI as an Intern (the team member directs, reviews, and corrects), AI as a Coworker (parallel collaboration), AI as a Teacher (just-in-time learning), and AI as a Coach (AI as a critical thinking partner). Most corporate AI training stops at the first two. Far West designs for all four, because the capability shift that justifies the investment happens at three and four.
Outcomes are measured against behaviour change, not completion rates. Check-ins at weeks two, four, and eight surface the data while there's still time to act on it. If something isn't sticking, we go back in before the window closes.

Most rollouts fail in the months after launch, not at the launch itself. The advisory retainer exists for that period: three tiers from essential to comprehensive, including a fractional AI integration and change lead option for organizations where the advisory and the build work are happening in parallel.
Where the retainer lives
The months after launch — the period most rollouts fail in.

Fractional integration & change lead A different shape — build and advisory run in parallel.
A capability that runs across the entire practice, not just one service area. Non-native English content is edited and rewritten so it reads as natural, executive-ready English, preserving the original intent and technical accuracy while removing the friction that signals non-native drafting. This applies to change communications, documentation, campaign copy, board materials, investor communications, and high-visibility external content.

Applies across
Completion rates, hours logged, and satisfaction surveys don't tell you whether anything changed. We track behaviour change, output quality, and workflow retention. We go back in if the early data says something isn't working.
About half of our discovery calls end with "this isn't the right time." We'd rather turn down work than deliver an engagement that won't earn its cost back.
Vendor productivity claims and peer-reviewed studies often disagree by a factor of two. Engagements are built on the peer-reviewed evidence, not the marketing version of it.
Documentation, training programs, and workflows are designed to survive handover. If the deliverable can't be maintained without us, it isn't finished.
The AI infrastructure behind this practice is the same infrastructure we propose to clients. The methodology, the tools, and the workflows are in production daily, not staged for the pitch.

The diagnostic takes about ten minutes. Far West Consulting follows up on every submission within 48 hours with a recommended engagement path. If you would rather talk it through, the discovery call is where we map the engagement that fits.
